Inaugural Shaw Festival London

The very firsy Shaw Festival London gave audiences a taste of Bernard Shaw's genius this July. It was a fitting celebration of the centenary of Shaw's Nobel Prize in Literature, which was presented to him in 1926.

A collaboration between the Shaw Society and The Irish Cultural Centre the new festival was a lively programme of lectures, films and talks combined with a new production of Shaw’s 1894 play Candida.

"All those who attended the festival will surely hope that it becomes an annual event."
