The Shavian

The Shavian is the Shaw Society membership magazine published twice a year. Contributors and readers are invited to engage with Shaw’s work critically and creatively. It provides readers with a lively and authoritative insight into the life, work and enduring influence of George Bernard Shaw. Published for members and enthusiasts, it presents original research, rare archival discoveries, critical reviews and essays that explore Shaw’s plays, writing and cultural legacy. Alongside scholarly contributions, the magazine captures the spirit of the Society’s activities including lectures, readings, visits and festivals and creates a record of current productions, events and debate. It aims to be accessible, rigorous and to reflect Shavian ideas and principles.

Members have access to back copies of our publication, The Shavian. This collection was compiled by ISS member Gustavo A. Rodriguez and Shaw Society Volunteer Evelyn Ellis.
