SHAW2020, an award winning limited theatre company founded by theatre professionals who are members of The Shaw Society, is dedicated to the performance, exploration, and adaptation of George Bernard Shaw’s works. Our focus is to bring Bernard Shaw’s theatre and writings – including those of his contemporaries and those he influenced – to a wider, more diverse audience.

SHAW2020 announce a summer tour of their award-winning production of Village Wooing
After the success of The Shaw Society sponsored production of Village Wooing, SHAW2020 are taking the show on the road.
Winning a London Pub Theatres Magazine ‘Standing Ovation‘ award for best ‘Rediscovery‘ during the 2021 Camden Fringe Festival and reaching the finalist stage of the 2022 Offies, this intimate two-hander by Bernard Shaw received four and five star reviews during it’s initial run, last year.
The SHAW2020 team, Jonas Cemm, Joe Sargent and Maryann O’Brien start rehearsals in July ahead of the the four week tour culminating with a return to the Camden Fringe at the famous Upstairs at the Gatehouse, venue. Along the way Shaw’s zany characters, named simply ‘A’ and ‘Z’ will visit The Town & Gown pub theatre in the heart of Cambridge, The historic Commemoration Hall in Huntingdon, The Blue Orange Theatre as part of The Birmingham Fringe Festival and The Jack Studio in Brockley south-east London, before closing back at the Camden Fringe at the Gatehouse in Highgate, North London.
