About us
The
Shaw Society was established in 1941 to provide a forum to discuss the life
and works of George Bernard Shaw.
The society meets in London every month for lectures and play
readings. It meets on the final Friday of the month (January to June and
September to November) at 6:30pm at Conway Hall, 25 Red Lion Square, London. . Meetings open at 6-30pm
(coffee) for a 7pm start, usually a talk or rehearsed
reading followed by questions and discussion. Members pay £2, visitors (welcome) £4.

In the summer, two
full-length Shaw plays will be produced on the lawn at Shaw’s Corner
in Hertfordshire, organised by The National Trust with Michael Friend
Productions. (see Calendar for up-to-date information as available)
Publications
The Shavian is produced three
times a year: New Year, Spring and Autumn and a Calendar updated regularly.
Membership Fee
Membership costs £15 per
annum and for two people at the same address there is a family rate of £22
per annum. For overseas members US$30 or the equivalent. For further
